Four, count 'em, FOUR BIKE ROUTES for any type of rider. Step it up a notch this year with a true centry course (the 100 miler) that takes you all over Bland county, into Wythe and Tazewell Counties, and even a touch of Pulaski County. Also this year, all rides go out at the same time and overlap until the return splits off. Feel free to take your time through the courses and check out the scenes. Just a little trip through the countryside. Perfect for those looking to get out and simply enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. This scenic ride runs right along the Jefferson National Forrest. Take your time, appreciate your surroundings, bring the family! This course is designed where the heavy climbing is in the middle so that you will be able to coast your way back to the Finish Line.
Looking for something a little more challenging? This course takes you up and over Big Walker Mountain as you wind your way through the West side of Bland County. Make sure you stop at the Big Walker Lookout pit stop. Check out the Old Country Store and get a spectacular view of the vibrant Fall leaves. There will be another sponsored pit stop at the turn around in Ceres so you can recharge before heading back into town.

Are you experienced? You better be to take on this course. Those who sign up for this ride are not doing it for the exercise; they’re doing it for the bragging rights! This course climbs over three different peaks for a total of 5700 vertical feet. That’s like riding to the top of the Empire State Building 4.5 times! There are 3 sponsored pit stops; we promise not to tell anyone if you have to stop.
Yeah... 100 miles. 4 mountains. 7000 feet of climb. 1 extra pit stop. It takes like 2.5 hours just to drive this course... in a CAR! By even considering this course, then I know that you are just sitting there, giddily smiling, as you are looking over the map because you decided a long time ago that this was the ride for you. So sign up already and then go see a psychiatrist because I really do think you may have some mental issues.
